Gold Souk Dubai is the city’s most iconic jewelry market, tucked into the old lanes of Deira along Dubai Creek. Over 380 shops line its covered walkway, glittering with necklaces, bangles, and loose gemstones sold at government-regulated, tax-free rates. It’s one of the few places in the world where “window shopping” means staring at literal treasure.

Dating back to the early 1900s, Gold Souk Dubai grew from a small trading post into the region’s largest concentration of gold and jewelry retailers. The wooden-arched arcade sits in Old Dubai’s Deira district, a short walk from Dubai Creek, the Spice Souk, and the Perfume Souk.

Shops here sell 18K, 21K, 22K, and 24K gold, along with diamonds, pearls, and silver. Prices track the daily international gold rate, and bargaining over labor and design costs is expected and welcomed.
